GAIS OpenScore – transparency about employee engagement

Companies can now easily display their overall GAIS scores on their website using GAIS OpenScore.
Is It risky for a company to be transparent about employee engagement?Or is it an opportunity to build trust by demonstrating a genuine effort to improve the workplace?

We believe there’s significant value in companies sharing their focus and efforts to enhance employee engagement,  which is exactly why we’ve launched GAIS OpenScore

OpenScore allows companies to display the overall results of a GAIS survey on their website or intranet. This enables organizations to clearly and concretely communicate, both internally to employees and externally to the world, that they are committed to improving employee engagement in a meaningful way.

See an example of how the company Become uses OpenScore here. Also, check out how Birch Ejendomme has implemented their OpenScore here.

OpenScore is pulled directly from a GAIS measurement and can be embedded on any website.

Transparency creates opportunity

So what motivates a company to share its GAIS score publicly, and what message does it send? Here are three key perspectives:

  • PUTTING ENGAGEMENT ON THE AGENDABy showcasing your employee engagement score, you’re sending a clear signal: we care about engagement, and we’re working on it. OpenScore shows how the workplace is doing, but it also opens the door to explain why this matters, what kind of workplace you’re trying to build, and what concrete actions you’re taking to improve engagement. It’s a statement that this agenda matters so much so that the organization is actively choosing to communicate about it.
  • ATTRACTING NEW TALENT: Every company wants to attract top candidates and the right employees. Many jobseekers today can afford to be selective. That’s why it’s crucial for employers to stand out by demonstrating a genuine commitment to employee engagement. By clearly communicating a serious and structured approach, candidates get the message: this is a company that prioritizes a great workplace and they want you to be a part of it.
  • TRUST AND TRANSPARENCY: Employee engagement is a shared responsibility. Everyone has a role to play in shaping workplace culture and the overall experience. That’s why it makes sense for organizations to be transparent about their engagement levels and allow employees to follow along. This openness keeps the dialogue alive and helps maintain momentum. Transparency and involvement are essential building blocks of progress. It takes courage to say, “Here’s where we are right now. This matters to us, and we want to improve.”

Getting Started Is Simple

GAIS OpenScore can be pulled directly from the GAIS platform and displayed wherever you like. It works by letting the company select the survey they want to publish from their GAIS profile. Once OpenScore is activated, a small code snippet is generated; ready to be embedded into a website or intranet.

Put simply: it’s a widget showing your score that you can embed with a script in your site’s HTML.
We hope that more and more companies will adopt a strategic, sustained focus on employee engagement and that they’ll work purposefully and transparently to improve it together with their employees and leaders. With OpenScore, communicating your engagement efforts just became much more tangible.
