The IT company NexusOne has turned employee well-being into a tangible and measurable initiative that helps create a better work environment – without requiring a large-scale setup.

With 31 employees, NexusOne is a data- and tech-driven powerhouse that creates value for its clients by developing exceptional digital customer and user experiences. They use employee well-being surveys as an effective tool to build a healthy and attractive workplace, one that draws in top talent and ensures happier, more engaged employees.

From survey to action

“We conducted a well-being survey to assess how we’re doing across a range of parameters. The results have now been presented to the entire company. We began with a collective review that offered a neutral overview of how we’re performing as a whole,” says Villy Gravengaard, CEO of NexusOne.

Following the presentation, each team focused on two key questions:

  • What can we improve as a team?
  • What are our recommendations for the company as a whole?

The leadership team gathered these responses and identified recurring themes that required action. An action plan was developed with a six-month timeline for implementation and follow-up. After that, a new survey will be conducted.

“This approach helps us ensure that we don’t just measure employee well-being – we act on the results and create lasting improvements,” explains Villy Gravengaard.

Emphasizing individual impact

“We’ve made it a point to be transparent and honest about both our strengths and challenges. It’s important to strike a balance between making improvements and maintaining what already works well,” says CEO Villy Gravengaard.

One area identified for improvement was a sense of meaning in the work.

“It’s about understanding where I, as an employee, can make a difference – for the company and in a broader context, including purpose. So we’re looking at how we as a company can help each individual find meaning in their work,” Villy Gravengaard shares.

A user-friendly and proven platform

Over the past 20 years, Villy Gravengaard has tried many different well-being tools, each with its own strengths. But when they started using GAIS, he was surprised by how accessible and user-friendly it is.

“What’s unique about GAIS is how quickly and efficiently we could get started. It was a pleasant surprise. If the tool had been complex or cumbersome, it might have easily been deprioritized. But GAIS allows us to focus on what really matters: improving well-being and the work environment—without wasting time on unnecessary processes. We truly want to highlight how user-friendly and well-tested the platform is,” says Villy Gravengaard.

Results and future goals

With a clear action plan and a user-friendly well-being platform, NexusOne is well-equipped to continue its journey toward a healthier and more engaged workplace.

“Our employees are our greatest asset. Ensuring their well-being is not just an investment in their quality of life—it’s an investment in the future success of our company,” concludes CEO Villy Gravengaard.

“GAIS makes it possible to focus on what truly matters: improving well-being and the work environment – without wasting time on unnecessary processes. It’s a tool that not only measures well-being but also drives action and creates lasting improvements.”
